Ranthambore is a popular tourist destination in India. It is located in the Sawai Madhopur District of Rajasthan, India. It has been a home to many royal families and kings and queens over the centuries.
The park is surrounded by hills, which are covered with dense forests. These forests act as a natural barrier for the park and provide shelter to many wild animals. The most famous among these are the tigers that live in these forests, which can be seen roaming around on roads at night. The Ranthambore Fort also lies within the boundaries of this national park, which was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh in 1728 AD as a strategic fortification
RANTHAMBORE FORT
The noteworthy Ranthambore Fort was built by the Chauhan rulers in the 10th century. Due to its strategic location, it was ideal to keep the enemy at bay. The fort is also related to the historical legend of the royal women performing ‘jauhar’.
GHUSHMESHWAR TEMPLE
The temple of Gushmeshwar is a popular tourist destination in India and is located within the Ranthambore Fort. The fort was built in 1293 by Maharaja Ranthambhore Singh, and it has been under the control of various dynasties. The temple was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh I in 1735. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva who resides here as "Ghusmeshwar".
SUNHERI KOTHI
The fort was built as a tribute to Maharaja Suraj Mal's father who had died at this location. The fort is situated on a hillock and has been designed with all possible defence measures in mind. The fort has four gates: one each facing east, west, north and south. The eastern gate is known as "Delhi Gate" while the southern gate is called "Mughal Gate".
JAMA MASJID
The Jama Masjid is a mosque located in the city of Ranthambore, Rajasthan. The mosque is one of the most famous landmarks in Ranthambore and is a tourist attraction for visitors to the city. It was initially known as the Jami Mosque, but over time became known as the Jama Masjid. The mosque has a rectangular plan with four minarets at its corners and a courtyard that measures approximately 100 meters by 40 meters.

Ranthambore Park was established as a national park and wildlife sanctuary in 1957, and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1989. The park includes an area of semi-desert scrub forest known as the Sawai Madhopur Thorn Scrub Forests ecoregion, which is home to several endangered species including tigers, panthers, Indian elephants, gaurs, sloth bears, chinkaras and blackbucks.
KHANDHAR FORT
Khandhar fort is one of the most important forts in India. The fort was built by Raja Khandhar, a ruler of Malwa. The fort has an impressive design with a moat surrounding it. There are two-storeyed buildings inside the fort which are made up of red sandstone and marble stones. The walls of these buildings have been decorated with beautiful paintings depicting various Hindu gods and goddesses in different forms, such as Shiva, Krishna, Ganesha etc.
